Text 6: Human Reflection and Hidden Might

May Life and Peace be upon all beings.

The Self’s First Consciousness emerges from Life’s forces and receptions that are Feelings and Senses, thus it is the Receptive Consciousness, that is in all beings and life.

The level of consciousness increases according to each being’s level of complexity, every additional layer of the Self’s internal organisation generating additional feelings and senses, and then a larger consciousness’ scale.

The more the First Consciousness, or Receptive Consciousness, increases in complexity and in scale, the more it duplicates within itself, as the First Consciousness becomes itself an object of perception.
Then, the part of the Consciousness that becomes the mirror in which the First Consciousness reflects, this second part of the Consciousness becomes the Second Consciousness, that is the Mirror Consciousness.

The Second Consciousness, or Mirror Consciousness, is a Mirror within the Self in which all perceptions can reflect.
When feelings and sensations reflect in the Second Consciousness, they generate longer-term memory and dreams.
When longer-term memory and dreams reflect in the Second Consciousness, they may generate acquisition of behaviours, and potentially these behaviours’ transmission to the descendance.

The Second Consciousness, or Mirror Consciousness, starts to emerge slightly in the lower levels of life.

It becomes more developed in beings of higher complexity such as vertebrate animals, like birds and mammals, reaching its peak in the great apes such as orangutangs, gorillas, chimpanzees and bonobos. Those develop, above feelings and senses, some levels of reflection on itself, thus developing some faculties such as longer-term memory and dreaming and acquiring some behaviours and transmitting them to their descendance, and sometimes even using very basic and simple tools.

However, such higher consciousness faculties still remain partial and incomplete, always staying below the consciousness development level of a 1 to 5 years old human young child for the most complex and evolved species, never beyond.

It is only and solely when the Second Consciousness, or Mirror Consciousness, reaching a major limit of complexity, becomes complete,
That it surpasses its own limit by searching objects of perception beyond the feelings and the senses of the First Consciousness or Receptive Consciousness,
It starts searching for itself as an object of perception,
Thus, the Second Consciousness or Mirror Consciousness becomes itself an object of perception and reflection, and it reflects in itself, the mirror reflects in itself,
The mirror’s reflection in itself generating a multiplicity of mirrors and of reflections,
Creating, inside of the Self, images that do not come from feelings nor from senses but only from its own self-reflection, that is Imagination,
That is an even higher degree of consciousness that is completely reflective and thus multiple, the Third Consciousness, or Reflective Consciousness, that makes a being to be Human,
Thus, Human beings come to be.

Human’s Third Consciousness, or Reflective Consciousness, that is Imagination, enables within the Human Self the internal Liberty and Power to Create new things that do not exist in Nature,
And generating Human’s unique further faculties that are Spoken Language, Reason, Knowledge, Free Choice, and Moral Values and Guidance and Responsibility.
Being able to do so, Humans surpass the upper limit that all the other species of lower complexity and of incomplete consciousness do not reach (unless some day in the future they come to evolve to human complexity).

Human’s Third Consciousness or Reflective Consciousness, that is Imagination, creates a New world that is internal to the Human’s Consciousness, the world of Reflections and Images, that is different from the Real World of Nature that is the Cosmos that is received and perceived by Life and the Feelings and the Senses.

In the Real World that is Nature or the Cosmos, Life and the Feelings and the Senses are received completely by the First Consciousness that is the Receptive Consciousness.

However, the Second Consciousness, that is the Mirror Consciousness, is influenced by many forces amongst which mostly the Feelings, to select only some receptions among all those received, and to reflect them only in some ways among all the possible reflections,
Thus, the reflections that come in the Reflected Consciousness, and the further reflections that it generates and the images that it creates, do not represent completely nor exactly all the feelings and sensations received in the first or receptive consciousness, but only a fraction of them that is selected and altered and supplemented with imagination,
Thus, the Reflections and Images that are in our Third or Reflective Consciousness do not represent Reality as it is nor as it is received or felt or sensed,
But they represent an imagined construction that we create within ourselves, they are a subjective perception and conception that is relative to our Individual Selves, thus very incomplete and altered compared to Reality.

Our Human Third Consciousness, or Reflective Consciousness, is the world we are the most conscious of and in which we live the most in our daily lives,
This is why we tend to call it the Conscious, or the Mind or the Mental.

While we tend to move away from our First or Receptive Consciousness, and from our Second or Mirror Consciousness, and thus to forget them,
Due to our own experiences and our environmental influences, with age and time we become less and less conscious of them,
They become like distant memories and dreams that we are no longer connected to,
This is why we tend to call them the Subconscious as we feel that they are below our ordinary daily Conscious level of reflection and imagination,
And we perceive them as Shadows hidden below the surface of our Conscious.

Thus, in our ordinary lowly conscious state, our Self is in a state of Division in 2 parts,
The Apparent part, on the External Surface of the Self, that is made of Reflections and Images and that we create to become our ordinary conscious world,
The Hidden part, Internal and Below the surface of the Self, that is the Reality of Life and Feelings and Sensations that we really receive and that we really are, but that we tend to move away from and to forget and then to become subconscious of.

In extreme cases of the Self’s Division, our Self becomes even in a state of Inversion where we start to invert our perception of reality and imagination, believing erroneously and falsely that our conscious reflections and images are reality, and that our subconscious real feelings and sensations are imagination,

Then we completely forget about our subconscious feelings and sensations, and we reach the lowest state where feelings and sensations become even unconscious, then we tend to believe that our reflections and images are the only existing reality and that nothing else exists outside of it, and we live in beliefs and illusions, that is the state of Darkness and Blindness of the Self.

However, we still feel within us the Life and Feelings and Sensations from our First or Receptive Consciousness, as something that we somewhat lost but not completely, as it is still Hidden somewhere within us and that Might be many and any things that might bring us Completion,
Thus, we perceive them as Mights,
Such as Breath and Warmth and Flame of Life,
And such as Light of Knowledge,
That are Hidden beyond the Shadows and beyond the limits of Darkness,
That we need to Search for and to Find to Connect to it and to become Complete again in One.

This is how the Voyage of the Self starts on the Way to the World, searching for what we feel as missing and hidden, to reunite to it and to become United in One as a Whole Being.
