May Life and Peace be upon all beings.
We, Humans, as we have the faculty of Imagination that generates the faculties of Speech and Reason and Knowledge, then, at every moment of our life that we are awake or conscious, independently from the situation we are in, we have the capacity to imagine many potential Ends to reach, and to imagine many potential Actions to do as means to reach our Ends.
The Ends that we might imagine,
Might come from our Needs that we Feel that are Instincts and Emotions, such as to avoid danger and suffering, or to feel safety or pleasure,
And they might also come from our higher Desires to pursue further states of Liberty and Happiness and Completion or to enable other persons to pursue and reach them.
To reach our Ends, we might imagine many potential Means to reach them through Action.
Among all the potential Ends that we might seek and all the potential Actions that we might imagine doing, we may conceive mainly:
The ones that are instinctive then already existing within our Selves and coming automatically,
Then the ones that come easily through simple observation of our near environment and simple reflection and trial,
Then the ones that we observed other beings do and that we imitate,
Then the ones that we already did in the past and that we repeat by experience,
So far, all these potentialities require little effort to conceive what we already have or what we already know, they are somehow easy,
Then, coming from a purely internal action of Imagination and of Reasoning, to create new Ends and new Actions that we never observed nor experienced before, especially in new situations that are encountered for the first time, or when needing or desiring a different or a better result in situations already experienced in the past.
The capacity to use our Imagination to imagine potential Ends and Actions depends first on our age and thus our Consciousness’ degree of development. Counting our age in solar years after birth, approximately:
Around 1 year old, our Third Consciousness, or Reflective Consciousness, starts to emerge and to shape, this is the age of awakening, after which our capacities of Imagination and Speech and Reasoning increase progressively.
Around 6 years old, our Third Consciousness, or Reflective Consciousness, becomes Complete, with our faculties of Imagination and Speech and Reasoning that become Complete, this is the age of reason. As our faculty to reason becomes complete, then we have the capacity:
To completely Speak and understand an oral language with its basic grammar and simple vocabulary,
To do simple Reasoning such as counting and comparing quantities,
And then perceiving the Links between our Actions and their Consequences,
Then we understand that we are Responsible for the Consequences of our Actions,
Thus, we start to perceive and to understand what we do, our Actions, and why we do them, our Ends,
And we start to imagine Ends and Actions that go beyond Feelings such as Instincts and Emotions for self-preservation, to higher and more conscious Desires and Goals, we start to have Dreams.
Thus, Free Choice emerges, as the choices that we start to make do no longer come only from subconscious instinctive and emotional feelings or from external influences from the environment, but they start to come from conscious Desires and Goals and Dreams,
We no longer react only to instincts and emotions and sensorial influences,
But we start to create from our own Imagination and Reason our own Ends and Actions to reach our Ends, this is how our faculty of Choice starts to become Free, Free from influences that are external to our own Imagination.
Free Choice is Free internally within our Selves, but its manifestation into Action remains partially limited by external restrictions that may be:
Lack of physical resources, to use as a mean, or to apply our Actions on,
Limited space of liberty beyond which movements are prevented by barriers or lack of openings or of paths to the outside,
Necessary physical needs to fulfil for self-preservation before applying our chosen Actions,
Dangers that may harm us and threaten our life or health or integrity if we were to do our chosen Actions, including but not limited to human pressures and prohibitions threatening us of harm or restriction if we were to do otherwise.
Thus, potential restrictions of Free Action from our Free Choice are always only external to ourselves,
As being physical restrictions or necessities or dangers,
Or coming from other humans’ threats of physical harm or seizure or restriction,
But within our Selves, we are and we remain completely Free to choose everything and anything we want, to choose our Ends, our Dreams, our Actions, no one has the power to prevent us from choosing or wanting or dreaming what we want for ourselves.
First, we Choose the Ends that we seek to reach and achieve, but among all the potential Ends, all do not always lead to Good and Happiness, for ourselves and for others:
Some Ends lead to Good and Happiness for ourselves but only on the immediate or short term, but cause harm to ourselves on the longer term,
Some Ends lead to Good things for ourselves only on some parts of our life, but they lead to Bad things on other parts of our life, thus in the final result they do not make us Happy,
Some Ends lead to Good and Happiness only for our own Selves but cause harm to others,
Some Ends lead to Bad things and Suffering or Destruction or even Evil, at least for ourselves, or even also for others,
Thus, all the Ends that we may choose are not always Good for ourselves and for others, but may lead to Bad things for ourselves or for others,
This is why, first we must choose the Good and Right Ends to reach, that will not cause any harm to anyone, nor to ourselves nor to others.
Once the Good and Right Ends are chosen, then the Actions to use as a mean to reach them should be chosen,
But one given End might be reached by many potential Actions,
We don’t always know what Actions should be done to reach our Ends,
Sometimes we try some Actions, but we do not reach the sought Ends, or even worse we move away from them, or we cause some harm to ourselves or to other beings,
This is why we try many different Actions to reach our Ends, and through mistakes and understanding what we did wrong and must be adjusted, we try Actions in better ways, thus we improve our ways of doing things.
To choose our Ends, then our Actions to reach our Ends, then how to improve our Actions, we follow a process that starts from Reception, that is observation, then Imagination and Reasoning, then Choosing Ends, then Choosing Actions, then doing Action, then Receiving back the results of our Actions, and following again the same process as many times as necessary until we find the Right Actions to do and we reach the Good Ends that we seek; this process being Experience and leading to Knowledge.
Thus, what Guides us first in the process is the Reception or observation and the Reasoning.
Reception and Reasoning are the First steps of Guidance.
Reception must be from all the Feelings (instincts and emotions) and Senses (interoceptive and proprioceptive and exteroceptive) of the First Consciousness or Receptive Consciousness, to correspond to the most Complete part of Reality that we have the faculty to receive.
Reasoning must be done in complete consciousness and awareness:
Of the natural limitations of our First or Receptive Consciousness that receives only a part of Reality but not the Complete Reality,
And also of the hidden alterations that come from our Second or Mirror Consciousness that does not reflect our receptions accurately as they really are, but that hides many of them, and selects only a few of them to become conscious, and distorts them according to our feelings and experiences about them.
Reception and Reasoning should be done on all the possible and existing and available sources, that are:
The Self, our own Receptions and Feelings such as Instincts and Emotions and Sensations that are interoceptive and proprioceptive and exteroceptive, our own Mirroring and Reflection, our own Imagination and Speech and Reasoning, our own Choices and Actions,
Nature, mostly, as a Complete World that is One and All, Earth and Sky and all that is in between and all the elements and beings that they contain,
Humans, what and how they feel and think and say and do and behave and interact between them, individually and in society,
Experiences and lives of other persons, individuals and communities and organisations and peoples, their mistakes in order not to repeat them, and their achievements and successes to imitate them,
Knowledge produced and preserved by all persons of all cultures and from all eras, in all forms, oral and written, in all fields, athletics and arts and humanities and literature and science and spirituality etc.,
And from experienced persons that have expertise and wisdom in the sought after fields, that can have the authority to guide others.
Ultimately, we are Responsible of the Choices that we make by our own Free Choice and freely from any coercion or threat of harm that comes from outside of ourselves, and we are Responsible for the Consequences of our Choices.
